Privacy Policy

Effective

This policy explains how information is handled by OneTake Record, its Apple, Google, and Firebase integrations, and support or contact interactions with MakcOS.

About this policy

OneTake Record is developed and operated by MakcOS. The app is designed around local recording and editing workflows, while selected Apple and Google services support purchases, speech recognition, analytics, consent, and rewarded advertising.

The behavior of third-party services is governed by their own terms, privacy policies, configuration, and platform behavior. This policy describes what the current OneTake app code controls without making absolute claims about third-party SDK internals.

No OneTake user accounts

OneTake Record does not currently require an account or login. The app does not operate a OneTake user-account database. Apple, Google, and their services may use their own identifiers as described in their documentation and according to the user’s settings.

Camera and microphone

The camera and microphone are used to create recordings. Camera frames and microphone audio are processed locally by the current app code. No current OneTake-owned server receives raw camera frames, recordings, or recorded audio.

Audio and video may be stored temporarily on the device while OneTake prepares a recording.

Video files and Photos

Raw or processed recording files may temporarily exist in the app’s temporary storage. Normal save, discard, cancellation, and failure flows delete temporary files where appropriate.

A finished video is written to Photos only when you choose Save. OneTake currently writes new media to Photos and does not read your existing photos or videos. MakcOS does not maintain server-side storage of your recordings.

How saved videos are retained or synchronized by Photos or iCloud depends on your Apple account and device configuration. MakcOS does not control iCloud storage or retention.

Scripts and settings

Your current script is stored locally using app preferences. Teleprompter configuration, caption style and color, recording mode, camera mode, Picture-in-Picture position, voice settings, and Pro or rewarded-access state may also be stored locally.

Script content is not automatically sent to MakcOS, and there is no current OneTake cloud script database.

AI services and sharing your script

OneTake itself does not send your script or prompt directly to an AI provider. When you invoke AI assistance, OneTake prepares a prompt containing information such as your current topic or script and relevant instructions, then opens the standard iOS share sheet.

You decide which app or service receives the prompt, or you can copy it for use elsewhere. This may include an AI app installed on your device or an AI service you access through a browser. Once you provide information to a third-party service, that provider handles it under its own privacy terms. OneTake does not automatically receive the generated response, and the prompt is not sent to a MakcOS server.

Voice features and speech recognition

OneTake can use microphone level locally for voice-sync behavior. Smart Speed uses Apple’s Speech framework, and the current code requests on-device recognition through Apple’s supported mechanism. Recognized text is used during the session to estimate your position in the script.

Recognized text is not included in OneTake’s custom Firebase Analytics events. OneTake does not separately store raw voice recordings beyond the video being recorded. Apple’s framework and system behavior remain subject to Apple’s policies, supported mechanisms, and device configuration.

Smart Captions

Smart Captions currently derive caption text from your script and teleprompter timing. OneTake does not upload audio or video to a third-party transcription service for this feature. Captions are generated and rendered into the video locally.

Caption settings may be stored locally. Caption text and media are not included in OneTake’s custom Firebase Analytics events.

Website analytics and consent

The OneTake Record website uses Google Analytics 4, associated with the OneTake and Firebase analytics setup, to understand website usage. This optional website analytics is separate from Firebase Analytics inside the OneTake iOS app.

Under the website’s Basic Consent Mode implementation, the Google Analytics tag does not load and the website sends no analytics events or cookieless analytics pings until you choose Accept. If you choose Reject, Google Analytics remains disabled and is not loaded on later page visits with that saved choice.

Your choice is stored only in your browser under analytics_consent_v1. It is not a user account, and a rejected preference is not sent to MakcOS. You can change your choice through Analytics settings in the footer. If you revoke a previous acceptance, the website stops future analytics events and attempts to remove its Google Analytics cookies.

When accepted, website analytics may provide page visits, interactions with store CTAs, and technical, browser, or device information normally processed by Google Analytics. Current custom store events contain only the CTA placement, such as Hero or Final CTA. Google may process additional technical information under its own documentation and configuration; see the Google Privacy Policy. This policy does not state an exact Google Analytics retention period.

Firebase Analytics in the iOS app

OneTake uses Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage and improve the app. Current custom events cover categories such as script interactions, the recording lifecycle, settings usage, Pro and paywall interactions, rewarded-access activity, and purchase or restore activity.

Current custom event code does not send script contents, caption text, recognized speech text, filenames, video, audio, email addresses, or a OneTake user ID.

Google and Firebase SDKs may process technical or device information under their own documentation and the project’s configuration. This policy does not claim that Firebase receives no device identifiers or assign an exact retention period to Firebase data.

OneTake uses Google Mobile Ads for rewarded advertising and Google User Messaging Platform for consent or privacy choices where applicable. Advertising requests begin only after the SDK reports that ads may be requested following the consent flow. Rewarded ads may then be preloaded.

You choose whether to watch a rewarded video to receive temporary Pro access. The exact data Google processes, advertising personalization status, and identifier use depend on Google’s SDK behavior, consent status, configuration, and device settings. OneTake does not currently implement Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Purchases and StoreKit

Purchases and subscriptions are handled through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payments, and MakcOS does not receive payment-card or bank-account details. OneTake receives transaction and entitlement information needed to determine Pro access and restore purchases.

Limited purchase-category or source events may be recorded in analytics. OneTake’s custom Firebase code does not send raw payment information.

Data sent to third parties

Apple
StoreKit purchase and entitlement handling, saving to Photos, and Apple Speech recognition where relevant.
Google and Firebase
Firebase Analytics, Google User Messaging Platform, and Google Mobile Ads for the uses described above.
Your selected share destination
A script-assistance prompt, only when you explicitly choose a recipient through iOS sharing or transfer it to a service yourself.

These services receive different information for different purposes; not all information is sent to every provider.

Data MakcOS directly receives

Current app code contains no OneTake-owned backend that receives recordings, raw camera frames, audio, scripts, or captions.

MakcOS may receive analytics, advertising, or purchase information made available through Apple, Google, or Firebase dashboards, as well as information you voluntarily send by email. Information available through third-party dashboards depends on those providers and the relevant configuration; it is not necessarily limited to aggregated data.

Support correspondence

If you email support@onetakerecord.com, MakcOS receives the information you choose to include. We use it to respond to your request, investigate issues, and maintain necessary support records.

Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, resolve issues, maintain appropriate records, or meet legal obligations. Please do not send passwords, payment-card information, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Data retention

  • Local app data remains on the device according to app behavior, your actions, iOS behavior, and app deletion.
  • Temporary recordings are intended only for the recording, export, save, and discard workflows described above.
  • Third-party service data is governed by Apple, Google, and Firebase policies and configuration.
  • Support email is retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above.

Children

OneTake Record is not designed to require users to create an account or submit personal information directly to MakcOS through the app. If a parent or guardian believes personal information was sent to MakcOS through support email, they may contact support@onetakerecord.com.

Security

We use reasonable measures and established platform services to protect information handled in connection with OneTake Record, but no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as app features, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated when material changes are published.
